Bashundhara Cement to be used for Sasec-2, Wecare and STRIP projects

Bashundhara Cement, a concern of the country’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, has signed an agreement with construction company Abdul Monem Ltd to supply Bashundhara Cement exclusively for the construction of Sasec-2, Wecare and STRIP projects.

Bashundhara Group Deputy Managing Director (Cement Sector) KM Zahid Uddin and Abdul Monem Ltd Managing Director ASM Mainuddin Monem inked the deal on behalf of their respective sides at a Dhaka hotel on Saturday, read a press release.

The agreement signing was witnessed by IRKM Salahuddin Biswas, deputy general manager (Bashundhara Cement Sector), and Lt Col (retd) Md Alomgir Kobir, (general manager-coordination, Abdul Monem Ltd).

Through this exclusive contract, Bashundhara Cement, with the nation’s largest and most modern VRM technology, will provide over 3 lakh tonnes of cement for the mega project, the release read.

After rigorous evaluation, the selection was based on factors like quality assessment, factory inspection, production capacity and supply system.

Bashundhara Group Senior Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman, Chief Financial Officer Mohammad Kamrul Hassan, Chief Sales Officer (Cement Sector) Shah Jamal Sikder, Head of HR & Admin Imran Bin Ferdous, Head of Marketing Mohammad Alauddin, and other officials were present at the event.

Bashundhara Cement’s track record in national mega projects, including Padma Bridge, Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, Jamuna Rail Bridge, Padma Rail Link, Lebukhali Bridge, metro rail, First Dhaka Elevated Expressway and others, underscores its reliability and excellence in contributing to Bangladesh’s infrastructure landscape.
